A steel candleholder with three cups for candles and in the centre an owl with brass eyes and beak. On the base there is a stamp Waverley Best which, given its off-set position, may have been inscribed on the original steel from which this was made. There is an accompanying newspaper article including reference to this candlestick (2011.035.02) suggesting it was an example of Dornoch craft. Mrs Bell who bought the candlestick thought that it might have been an apprentice test piece.
