The Dornoch area was served by analogue TV transmitters at Knockmore and Rosemarkie with the switch over to digital transmissions effective on 22 Sep 2010 and 20 Oct 2010 respectively. The guide was published by DigitalUK and distributed to all households via the Royal Mail service. There was a preliminary, less detailed guide also distributed to households about 6 months earlier with guidance on options for equipment requirements to receive digital transmissions and offering help to those who might have any difficulty.
