Printed version of the Sub-Committee on the Representation and Appeal from the Royal Burgh of Dornoch to the Convention of Royal and Parliamentary Burghs, dated April 1891. This relates to the dispute with the Duke of Sutherland over lands in the Burgh including Lonemore and Balloan, and salmon fishings at Loch Fleet. The sub-committee consisted of the assessors for Edinburgh, Whithorn, Kilrenny, Lochmaben and Dornoch. The report summarises the current situation, and puts forward evidence supporting the Burgh's claim to parts of Lonemore.
