One of 13 photographs taken in July 1990, during construction of the Dornoch Firth bridge. The annotation on the back reads ~ View from the cat-walk at the top of nose-piece looking down on to the top of the pier. The catwalk round the head of the pier is seen with a thin, blue safety balustrade running round it.
