A Northern Times article 11 June 2010 about Jack Harrison thought to be the last survivor of The Great Escape from Stalag Luft III during World War 2. He taught at Dornoch Academy before joining the RAF as a pilot. After the war he went to teach in Glasgow. He died aged 97 in June 2010 at the Erskine Home, Bishoptown. (See also 2009.089)
