Three letters in respect of Viscount Rothrmere's donation. The first is the letter from Viscount Rothermere, written from the Burghfield Hotel, enclosing a cheque for £5000 to be used for discharging the town's debt of £2000 with the rest to be spent as seen fit by the town council, Oct 25th 1928. The second is a letter from the Town Clerk dated Oct 25th 1928 and the third dated Oct 26th 1928 from Provost John Murray, Balloan, to Viscount Rothermere, thanking him for gift of £5000.
