Extract from the Northern Times of 18 Dec 09 recording the first screening of the Dornoch Community Cinema, the film 'Slumdog Millionaire' in the Dornoch Social Club on Tuesday 22 Dec 09, with 'Ice Age 3- Dawn of the Dinosaurs' to be shown the following day at 5 p.m. "aimed at the younger generation". The new equipment installed in the Social Club was purchase with a generous £5000 grant from Hi-Arts and the article highlights plans for "a full programme of films for 2010" one per month for adult audiences and one for younger film goers.
