The photograph shown here is of Arthur Fitzhenry Townsend and must be prior to the Boer War, as I own a photo of him showing him wearing a Boer War Medal. He was twice wounded serving with 4th Battalion The Cameronians during the First World War and was Mentioned in Dispatches on 30 November 1915. He died of wounds on 16th Sept 1916 while commanding officer of the West Kent Regiment.
