First of set of two monochrome photographs of a stranded 'false killer whale' in the Dornoch Firth, near Bonar Bridge in 1927. [See picture #11892 - an article concerning the visit to Dornoch of Martin Hinton, Curator of Mammals at the Natural History Museum, to investigate the stranding of the whales, which were found to be Pseudorca Crassidens, 'False Killer Whales' thought to be extinct.]
