I have just opened my safety deposit Box and found the same Medal, it was my great Grandfathers. Also a pocket watch of the same vintage. Do you know what this Medal may have been given for? I have no history of how my Great Grandfather received this since he is now Deceased.

Comment left on 30 October 2011 at 22:22 by Mike George The Victory Medal was presented to anyone who had been in service and/or at the front between 05/08/1914 and 11/11/1918. Around the edge you should be able to see your Great Grandfather's name and his Regiment and could perhaps contact his old Regiment for further details if you wish. Administrator
