I well remember the opening of Dornoch Academy , although I was only 7 at the time . It was a very big day indeed !
I lived with my family - brother Duncan and parents ( both now deceased) Jack and Emila Abercromby from 1957-1965 when we migrated to Australia (Tasmania) .
My father was the Chief Dental Officer for the North of Scotland .
The house called Earls Cross on Earl’s Cross Road was built for us - designed by Bo (?) Beaton - and it caused quite a stir at the time because it was very avant garde for the time .
Currently in Dornoch for a few days nostalgic visit ( May 2022) - it’s as beautiful as ever !
