Album of Dornoch Academy class photographs
An album containing a collection of photographs and newspaper cuttings, predominantly Dornoch Academy class photographs, with details printed below of the known pupils and teachers. The date of the class photographs range from 1922/23 to 1959. The newspaper cuttings refer to school hostels. Of particular interest is the cutting from 'The Popular Journal' Saturday June 29th, 1974 at picture #3991 with an image of pupils at the Earls Cross Hostel in 1954 with names and 'where are they now' details twenty years on. The album proved to be so popular when it was made available in the museum Public Reference area that it was decided to scan each of the images in the album so that they could be readily available on the 'Image Library' website (later to become the 'Historylinks Archive'). Successive clicking on the right-pointing arrowhead adjacent to the Cat No above provides a simple means to view the 39 scanned album images.
