Copy of a handwritten Post Office Telegraphs form date stamped 28 Oc 14 and timed 11.38 a.m. "The King and Queen deeply regret the loss you and the Army have sustained by the death of your husband in the Service of his country. Their majesties truly sympathise with you in your sorrow.". The photocopy of the original telegram has been mounted in card with a subscription with Captain Rose's details and at the top the badge of the Cameronians.
