Ice transported, water rounded boulder from the Dornoch esker. The boulder is made of white quartzite with stained patches of green algae. The quartzite is likely to have come from the Cambrian quartzite, the nearest source of which is the Ben More Assynt region. The esker is a ridge formed from glacier transported material laid down in a sub glacial river during the late Ice-age.
