Colour photograph of the corn drying kiln at Strath Laro clearance settlement Puill Fraoich site. Viewed from the gable-end of the building. The kiln is recessed into the hillside, as are the lateral walls of the building, with side doors one each side, about shoulder level with the photographer, for a through draught for winnowing. Behind the camera is the gable-end of the building. This kiln differs from all others in the area by having two flue entrances; one patently obvious, the other filled with debris on the left side of the large central stone.
The pile of stones at the top of the picture is not related to the kiln building, but represents collapse of another building altogether.
