Found at Ospisdale in 1830 with the remains of a steatite urn. Bought by the Museum of Antiquities from Mrs Lyon (should this be Miss Lyon?? EQ) in 1933 and 1950. The brooch is oval, 2" x 3.5" approx. It is similar to two brooches found at Reay and two from Longhills, Westerseat, Wick. NMS reference no IL377 EK43.
