Monochrome photograph taken on the A9 just by Evelix Garage, it is the same event as shown in 2001_312_001_73 and 74, the Butlin Walk from John O'Groats of Lands End, with the same lady in shot and about the same location. From an album of postcards and photographs taken by Mrs J.I.C. Mackay of Dornoch and surrounding area.

I think these photographs are of the "Butlin Walk" not the "Buttling Walk". In 1960 Billy Butlin sponsored a walk from Lands End to John O Groats as a publicity stunt for Butlins Holiday Camps and I think these are photographs of some of the walkers - probably passing Evelix Garage.
