Keen to contact any current generation "Wilson" family history researchers to explore possible shared interest. Comment left on 20 September 2013 at 00:58 by Clarke Whitehand
Just discovered on Ancestry.ca that an ancestor, Hugh Mcleod and his wife, Merian (Marian) lived here in 1841, with their 5 month old daughter and a Daniel Munro, probably brother. Is this farm house a separate house on the Opsidale estate? I'm interested in learning more about the Munro family.

It is clear that the "Opsidale Farm House" image , circa 1920, is not of the "Estate House"/"Opsidale House" shown in images that have appeared online since my 2008 entry. This is consistent with my expectation that any "Wilson" connect may have been as tennant farmers. Still seeking any information to confirm same. My great aunt Sophia Munro died at this farm in 1923. According to notes I took in 2015 when talking to her granddaughter, Sophia's sons Duncan & James Munro took over Ospisdale from George Wilson at May Term 1917 Comment left on 21 May 2018 at 08:02 by Chris McLennan
