Colour photo of the Rhistockach big house. The west gable wall of the ‘Big’ house (!) from inside the derelict building – showing the chimney and space where the fireplace was (the stone mantelpiece is still lying in the debris inside the house), together with the two tiny 11-12 inch square ‘Bible Lockers’ on either side of the gable. The building is of dry stone and clay infilling construction with roughly 2’ thick side walls. The gable is 3’ thick.
