Crask settlement and Creagan Asdale hut circle

Colour photo of the road to the Crask settlement. The low road to the Crask Settlement, along the north flank of Craig Astle, gives a general view of the Settlement from afar. We are looking north-westwards from a point above Rhistockoch about NH 729 928 approaching along the Crask. The two houses can be seen just below the left-hand skyline, the larger house being higher up. A low hillock before this house shows remains of a probable hut circle. The old track to the Settlement, levelled into the hillside, fills the central foreground. Waterlogged, it has adopted the role of a sluggish land drain.
