Hello, had John MacDonald a daughter who married Mr Walter Sutherland in 1875?
Could you let me know as soon as possible?
Thank you

No, Canada. Are you related through Malcolm Grant?

Yes I am. Malcolm Grant is my father, he died on 28 Feb 1974. I was named after him and he after his maternal Grandfather Malcolm Macdonald .

I am related to you through Catherine MacDonald, Malcolm MacDonalds sister but the family don't know much about Malcolm (other than your family) which is why I have been researching him & how I found the Canadian relative. Can you get in touch with me by email so I can ask you a few questions, if thats ok. I can't get clicking on your name to email to work.

Form Goes Here
John Macdonald, eldest son of Malcolm, joined the City of Dundee Police in 1898 and had been promoted to Sergeant in the following year. He surely was a ‘flier’. With only 14 years of police service, he would reach the exalted
rank of Superintendent (and be appointed Deputy Chief Constable) in Dundee
by 1912, and then from 1931 to 1936 would be Chief Constable there himself.
