I am certain that this milkman is Willie Wright who came from the Aberdeenshire area and had a dairy and ice cream shop in Dornoch. The shop was just behind Grants and Sons the Butcher. Willie Wright came to Embo to sell his milk on a daily basis and he always wore riding breeches and leather leggings under his dust coat. His daughter Beattie Wright ran the shop in Dornoch and she was famous for her shop made ice cream.

One of his sons Pete carried on the dairy before and after Bill retired. His other son Harry was a Police officer in Notting Hill where I worked with him. He also had another daughter Euphie
