Group, probably staff at Skibo. Back row: John Chisholm, Johnny Punton, John Robertson. Next row: Jimmy Brunton, Harry Rattray, Willie Cleland, Jim Rideout, Sandy Hamilton, Sandy Campbell, Willie Dunbar (blacksmith) and Jimmy Hill (mechanic). Came with material relating to Jean MacKay. Information concerning Johnny Punton - back row second left - came from Mrs Hay the donor of the creel fish basket 2008_076_01. Johnny Punton was Mrs Hay's mother’s maternal grandfather, he was the head groom and piper at Skibo and went with the Carnegie family to America.

They were indeed the Garage/Stable staff at Skibo. I have an original photo album of life at Skibo from this period, taken in the main by my great uncle. The chap at the front is my Great grandfather James Rideout who was employed by the Carnegie/Miller family for 44 years at Skibo.
