This is another postcard produced for Spinningdale Stores in 1979. This is "Hamish", the Highland Coo, in front of the ruins of the old mill. It was taken about 6.00 am and the shadow on the left is that of the photographer, Anne Baxter, Postcard publisher, Golspie.

This postcard was produced by Anne Baxter of Golspie and Tain in 1979 for Spinningdale Stores, of which I was owner from 1978 to 1983. The old mill produced oak wood pirns for the spinning mills of Lanark. The name Spinningdale is an old Norse or Viking name which existed long before the mill was built.
