I am from Camore Crescent and remember Geordie very well, especially on his old black bicycle. He used to pass our back garden on his way home to "Bovril cottage", down the back road, and always had time to stop for a blether. Infact he gave my mother a pearl when I was born, and another two when our twins were born. I'm not sure if that was because of our own "traveller/tinker" background or because he lost his own little girl some years before. I have very fond memories of this old gentleman.
