Colour laser photocopy of a man walking along the overgrown platform at Embo. Wooden station building with clock beside him, house in background. On reverse: " Embo railway station with stationmaster's house Sept 1969. Taken shortly before the office building was demolished." Colour is very poor.

I don't know who the man is. Along with Archie MacDonald I helped demolish the station around 1969/1970 when I was working on Embo Mains. What a pity, hindsight is a great thing. I recall the solid pine cladding of the Waiting Room and the office. Incidentally I also travelled on the last journey made by the Dornoch Coffee Pot. This picture of Embo Railway Station was taken by Mrs Barbara Tulloch, grand-daughter of Mrs Barbara Mackay (Roy), 1 Terrace Street, Embo. The gentleman walking along the platform is her late husband, Ian Tulloch, a former Telephone Engineer in the area, who retired in Inverness
