Most of these men were from the Dornoch area. I recognise my father Davy Murray back right, John Anderson Davochfin centre (battledress no headgear), Leonard Will front right (no headgear). As I understand it because there were so many on basic training at Barry Buddon some were billeted at Mathers Hotel Dundee at the time, a temperence establishment, wonder why they were all smiling?

Thank you for sharing this photo, I do not know much about my grandfather, Leonard Will, so I am very delighted to come across a photo!
