Colour photograph of the western end of Loch Fleet, with the Mound causeway at centre right and Strath Fleet beyond.
The Dornoch Light railway line followed this shoreline from Embo before crossing the A9 at the southern end of the Mound causeway for the final stage of its route to the main line junction.
