Medal with red white and blue ribbon contained in velvet covered presentation case. The front is engraved 'Presented by Dr Andrew Carnegie of Skibo, to Dornoch and Creich farmers and crofters ploughing association'. Back engraved - Won by R Macrae for best ploughing in farmers class 1st March 1902. Medal is solid silver medal, hallmarked Birmingham 1899 ( makers mark J A ). There is an ornate mount at the top of the medal to which a ring is attached to hold the ribbon. The original box is bears the inscription William Ross, watchmaker, jeweller and optician, Tain & Strathpeffer Spa.
