This photograph shows the old A9 bridge near Skelbo, en route from Dornoch to the Mound, prior to major road widening and realignment. The stone bridge remains in situ c 50m from the realigned A9 with the house shown similarly further back from the road, with the road bends remaining in place. This photograph as a Valentines postcard can be viewed at picture #1495 and a colour photograph of the bridge revealed in December 2008 after forest clearance is at picture #7156. This photograph acquired from a CD containing 125 photographs of Dornoch and the surrounding area, scanned from monochrome and colour photographs and postcards. Photographs apparently acquired/borrowed by Barry Turner from Mrs Thompson, Castle Hotel. (5 sheets of paper included with thumbnail images - 3 images found to be exact duplicates with the remaining 122 catalogued by subject/location)
