Circular bronze medal (a) with the emblem of the National Rifle Association on one side - two figures, one holding a bow and arrow, the other a rifle - with the motto SIT PERPETUUM and dates 1300 1500 beside the bowman and 1860 beside the rifleman. On the reverse is a tankard with the words ASTOR COUNTY CUP.
The medal fits into a square presentation box (b), which is covered in blue paper. The base of the box is lined with purple velvet and the lid with faded blue silk stamped in gold with a crown and ELKINGTON & CO LTD 22 REGENT ST SW..

I have a similar medal, but on the side that you show there is just the single word ASTOR and no other detail. It is 21mm, whereas the one shown for sale is 38mm in diameter.
