Embroidered raised badge in the shape of a shield with crown above and surrounded by leaves or ears of corn, on a backing of red felt, hessian or similar, and paper. The shield border, leaves and crown are worked in metal thread, highlighted with blue thread and dark red velvet. The inside of the shield has a background of blue satin with the words UNITED SERVICES 1897 worked in metal thread.
