Red/black paper-covered wooden box (a) marked TOUR(?) A PIVOTER VIS DE RAPPEL Qualite Superieure, and lined with purple velvet. Contains Jacot(?) tool (b) for pivot finishing - large pale brass stamped with a lion and engraved AP. Lathe type tool with adjustable position for work and three interchangeable mandrels, one fitted into tool, the others in recesses in the box. Also contains a small steel rule marked in 16ths of an inch. Base of main tool socketed to stand upright in a holder.
