Smile please!"; middle left "Cathie & Lothie Wallace"; middle middle top "Skibo Fete. The Laird & J. Macdonald watch a race"; middle middle bottom "Our meat ration crosses safetly Ankoli cow crossing Kagira river"; middle right "G.J.Grant disguised as Miss Soutar"; bottom left and middle has "ALL'S FAIR" in between photos and "EVEN A 'TOMMY' HAS HIS DAY" underneath. Photos of a girl with two different soldiers in summer house; bottom right "Lt Laurd & Marie arrive home from church. Winter 1916-17". Some photos are faded and the paper is coming away from card near the bottom of page.

"G.J.Grant disguised as Miss Soutar" - believe this is my great-grandfather's older brother George John Grant (1883-1959) who served in the Lovat Scouts during the Boer War - presuming this as there is a photo among Hardie's other albums of my great-grandfather's younger sister Christina Grant at their farmhouse Evelix in 1912.
