A Dornoch Heritage Society talk by Jimmy Melville 'The Dornoch I Knew' given on 9th December 2004 was contemporaneously recorded on mini-disc. To provide direct access to the talk, in 2025 the mini-disc recording was converted to mp3 and then transcribed, with the addition of some images, ultimately to produce a pdf file which may be accessed using the link below.
Whilst there may be some difficulty in relating 2004 Dornoch locations, the talk does fully illustrate the close affinity of the Dornoch population, many of whom were together at school and subsequently were resident in the area throughout their lives.
