
Pupil's defective vision and speaker erected in Castle Street
A newspaper cutting from the '100 years ago' section of the Northern Times two items published in the issue of 14 May 1925. The first concerns a report by the School Medical Officer to the Medical Inspection and Treatment Committee as to defective vision among school children in Sutherland, resulting in the appointment of a part time Oculist with difficult cases taken to Bonar Bridge.
The second report was the setting up of an AJS speaker on Castle Street by A. R. K. Sutherland to hear the King's Speech at the opening of the 2nd Wembley Exhibition.
