James Ross's family Bible. First belonged to Angus Ross (1864-1943)of Marcus Cottage, Clashmore. Angus was miller at Evelix. His children, Jean, Hugh and Irvine , grew up at Clashmore and Irvine was James' father. He lived at Cambusavie and Gordonbush. James grew up at Gordonbush.
There are family graves at Proncy Cemetery - see attached pdf.
The attached pdf also contains 5 pages of notes about John Brown, the author of Brown's Self-Interpreting Bible from the internet.
The bible has colour and B+W plates and maps and is annotated by Brown throughout.
