An inscription on the reverse of the front cover reads 'To The Historylinks Museum, Dornoch Scotland From John C Strickland, Mayor Pinehurst September 20 2023' and was presented during a visit to the Museum to cement the close relationship formed over many years by virtue of the design and construction of the famous Pinehurst Golf Course by Donald Ross, native of Dornoch.
