Interview with Glen Grant of the Grant Butchers family
The original intention was that Brian Munro, acting on behalf of Historylinks Museum, would record an interview with his close neighbour Glen Grant to capture personal recollections of the growth of the 'John Grant & Sons' family business since 1840.
Unfortunately Brian was unsuccessful in his attempt to use the Historylinks audio recorder and by the time this was discovered it was too late to conduct a further interview. Thus Brian was requested to recall the content of the interview and a copy of his three page email can be viewed using the pdf link below.
A hidden gem is Glen's recollection of a unique method of shedding turkey feathers during the annual collection of Christmas turkeys with his cousin Donald.
