A Roll of Honour obituary for Second Lieutenant W D MacBeth 6th Battalion Black Watch killed in action in the Battle of Arras April 23rd 1917. Lieutenant MacBeth was educated at Dornoch Academy and the University of Aberdeen and before his wartime enlistment in 1915 he was English Master at the High School Dundee.
The respect and affection held in the battalion is summarised in his Colonel's words and those of the Adjutant.
