George Calder later became a winner of the Silver Medal at Royal Dornoch and Club Champion at Inverness several times. He died suddenly aged 48 in 1971. Following his death his wife passed the putter on to her nephew Brian Munro who donated it to the museum in 2023. It is marked 'DR' by Tom Tew at the top of leather grip.
