A letter dated 9 July 1816 to Mrs Ross, Dornoch from Donald MacDonald ref School fees paid in advance for Mrs Ross's children.
A typewritten note on the outside of the document clear envelope records that Donald MacDonald was the Dornoch Parish Schoolmaster who resigned in 1817 after complaints that he had deserted his charge.
