
Hornby Clockwork Toy Train Set
Hornby Clockwork Toy Train Set 0 Gauge which belonged to Dr Struan Robertson as a child. Latterly, the train set was brought out between every Christmas a New Year to be played with by Dr Robertson's 4 children and was brought to Torranroy in Dornoch on his retirement. The collection comprises:
2 engines,
9 wagons,
2 boxes of connecting plates,
1 boxed wagon (Milk Traffic van),
1 boxed passenger coach,
1 boxed cattle truck,
3 boxes of rail clips,
1 box of 'First Grade' points,
2 boxes of curved rails,
27 loose long curved rails,
6 loose short curved rails,
4 loose points,
1 cross rail,
1 key attached to wooden box by a length of string,
1 box of wheels
6 layout maps - these were hand drawn by Dr Robertson and are based on the "Cathcart Curve" and the "Dornoch Branch Line"
There is also a wooden box which contained the original set.
