Book of unused fuel coupons for the first 6 months of a year. Such coupons were issued as a preparatory measure at the time of the fuel crisis in 1973-4 but never called into use. There are two coupons to each page with the number NH4694452 above each coupon. That on the left has wording: “Not transferable. This coupon is issued under the authority of the Minister of Power” with a central scroll "Four N Units” [“Three N Units” in the case of the right-hand coupon], followed by “Attention is drawn to the provisions and conditions appearing overleaf” with a box at the foot for “Registered No. of Vehicle”. The reverse of each coupon has as single paragraph covering the provisions and conditions of issue with space below for addition of the “Name and Address of the Dealer” and “Quantity supplied (if less than the quantity authorise) “ beneath which there is a line for completion of “…..Gallon(s).
