Dornoch Burgh Ceremonial Regalia – 5th engraved shield of Chain of Office
Working anti-clockwise from the central enamelled crest, the fifth engraved shield bears the inscription ‘John 18th Earl of Sutherland 1625 - 1663.’ beneath which there is a second inscription ‘George 19th Earl of Sutherland 1663 - 1703’.
