Dean of Guild Court Dornoch Petition dated 19th April 1929. This folded document relates to the Petition of Messrs A C Grant Ltd, Tailors and Outfitters, Grantown-on-Spey for a warrant to erect an addition to a shop built of brick and slated in Bridge Street, Dornoch. The property was formerly a Butcher's shop. One respondent was named. No objections were received and the warrant was granted.

The granting of this petition ultimately led to my coming to live in Dornoch. My grandfather Alfred Mitchell opened Frazers of Perth on this site once the extension was completed and lived there with his family for probably a year. Comment left on 22 May 2021 at 13:13 by Colin Jones
