Letter dated 5th November 1958 from Arthur & Carmichael Solicitors to Mrs Johnstone, Woodgate, Dornoch concerning the part payment of feu duty in respect of the piece of ground in Station Road.

(Feu was the most common form of land tenure in Scotland, as conveyancing in Scots law was dominated by feudalism until the Scottish Parliament passed the Abolition of Feudal Tenure etc. (Scotland) Act 2000. The word is the Scots variant of fee and a Feu duty was annual payment in return for the enjoyment of land.)
