'The Discovery of Kate'

Children's book 'The Discovery of Kate - A School Story' by E L Haverfield 336pp with a red linen and card cover and illustrated dust jacket showing three girls in school uniform with satchels riding bicycles. The inside front page bears a Dornoch Academy label showing it to be a '1st Prize Awarded to Margaret Wilson Class J.P. for General Excellence' signed by the Rector Allan F Robertson. The book was published by Thomas Nelson and Sons Ltd, London Edinburgh Paris Melbourne Toronto and New York and bears a 4/- (four shillings) prize on the inner flap of the dust cover.
