A deflated leather football with laced. 12-hole opening to provide access to its separate inner rubber inflated ball. This type is constructed with 12 oblong shaped leather segments, with later versions having segments of T-shape. When inflated and particularly when wet the ball was much heavier than footballs of post 1960 design.
