Colour photograph of the gable end of the Dornoch Gas Works, subsequently a Slaughter House, abutting Shore Road. Below the vent at the peak of the gable there is a square engraved stone plaque recording the erection of the original Gas Works in 1845 and its rebuilding as a slaughter house in 1883.
